Some surfaces you should not clean with baking soda

Yes baking soda is an excellent cleaning agent however there are certain surfaces that you should not be cleaning with it. Baking soda can remove rigid household dirt and grind from almost everything like fabrics to bathrooms yet this versatile cleaning agent does more harm than good on some surfaces.

This cleaning agent when mixed with vinegar had excellent stain removing capabilities and works well on stubborn marks too.

You should not be using baking soda to clean these surfaces:

  • Glass
  • Ceramics
  • Marble
  • Wood
  • Silver

Cleaning glass with this popular household item may seem like a good idea, but using baking soda is more likely to scratch the surface rather than actually clean it.

The abrasive consistency of this raising agent will certainly scrub away dirt and stains, but not without leaving some long-lasting damage.

So ensure you keep baking soda away from these surfaces while you are on a cleaning spree.
