Thoughts - Rainy day.

It was constant pitter pattering outside with thick rain drops hitting the glass pane at the brim of my balcony. While I lay on the bed lazily reading my book all I could hear in the last half hour amidst the monotonous rainfall was a couple of honking at the nearby junction where cars sped by indicating their movements. A faint cry of a bird that lived in a nest on the backyard tree was heard too. Yes, the distant dog barked profusely, I presume it to be due to the sight of kids walking in full rain gear and boots. My focus shifted back to the story in the book.I frantically started reading the next few pages that had me gripped. When the story ended I closed the book and still engrossed in those characters and their doings I failed to realize that the musical rainfall had waded off and the silence was replaced by noisy traffic, people talking, loud music from the neighbors house, the florist who comes on his cycle selling flowers shouting the names of the seasonal blooms as he p...

Mirrored Me!!

After having read the article in " The Times of India ", a vague thought runs in my head.It may sound really wierd but how I wish it was true. The article talked about a new planet discovered in another orbit which revolves around a star in a different solar system altogether. " A rocky planet, same size as the Earth has been discovered orbiting a star like our sun." That sounds a bit of fun. A set of "what ifs?" questions popping up, I was lost in an imaginary world - yeah of course, I had landed on Kepler-20f :0 I was standing in the centre of an island which was densely covered with coconut trees.Mild tropical climate and the wonderful shore. It was perfect to the ultimatum. The roaring waves and me walking on the sand , was an eu...

Lost thoughts... (Fiction)

Strolling in the green park, noticing the sun peeping through the dark clouds she rested her stressed body on the stone bench. The cold weather and the drops of dew on the fresh spring flowers made a dull day look bright for everyone passing by. She lay there not wanting to enjoy any bit of the lovely weather and got engrossed in the world which was hers alone. She thought of the days spent in cheer mode last summer when there were ducks quacking in the bright sunshine. Kasper was by her side wathcing the Squeeky squirrel dance to the latest tunes running on her ipod. She could not stop her giggles till she bumped against the stone bench. She had hurt her ankle with the sprain not letting her stand back on her feet. Kasper picked her up and comfied her into the hospital bed where Dr Stumps treated her. It wasn't anything major, just a normal sprain. Thanking Stumps, the duo headed back towards O'reil Street. Sudden darkness is what she sensed when her eyes opened. There was sil...
