Facts of December:

* Some people call it "the frosty month."
* The latter part of December has long been a holiday season. The Romans honored Saturn, the god of agriculture, with a festival called Saturnalia.
* A well known fact which needs no explanation - Christians celebrate birthday of Jesus Christ on the 25th of this month.
* December's flower is the narcissus or holly.
* December's birthstone is the blue turquoise or zircon.
