Glass Painting ~ color fills waste.


Fresh green garden salads are a part of my meal. Here is how I love it. Strands of carrots,raddish, finely chopped tomatoes or cherry tomatoes would do even, a few leaves of purple cabbage or lettuce,some olives(green or black), bell peppers(red , yellow and green) - chopped, jalapenos. Toss in a bit of olive oil.
Sprinkle a pinch of salt and half a tea spoon of black pepper powder(Some spice for life)
Some American Ranch or french dressing would do it all.


To quench this craving of mine we had two whole bottles of olives and jalapenos brought home. They got emptied and I did not want to let go such cute bottles go to bin. Here is what I did with them. Why not paint them ? A thought just stuck in my head. What you see is the outcome of the thought?

Salad looks very tempting. Nice way to use empty jars. These will look so good no matter what you keep in those.

SUPW - Socially useful and productive work!

Say primary school or exams - it brings back memories of lot of fun filled activities along with the normal syllabus. Languages, Basic math,science and social studies are the ones included in the normal stream. The ones out of this are - General Knowledge, moral science, story telling, project work - these become the building block for a child's growth in a complete way. Last week an evening as I returned home, a neighbour's kid was waiting for me the enitre afternoon for help.He needed guidance to complete his project work. The school had come up with a concept to bring the creativity out of a child's mind.It goes this way - use the waste materials and create something useful - Socially useful and productive work(SUPW). SUPW is another learning area falling under the non-scholatic domain - This ensures that the students develop better understanding of their social and environmental issues. Cent story 17: Love like rain
